The Summit is convened under the Defence Futures Lab pathway, launched by the Honourable Minister of Defence following the Kryterion Defence Roundtable at Omniverse Africa Summit 3.0. It marks the culmination of the 90-day diagnostic mandate.
The Defence Futures Summit brings together defence leadership, the technology sector, capital partners, international allies, and the innovation ecosystem to advance Nigeria's sovereign digital backbone and defence innovation capability — moving from dialogue to demonstrated capability.

The Defence Futures Summit exists to convert a national mandate into demonstrated, sovereign defence capability. It is the public and operational culmination of the Defence Futures Lab's 90-day diagnostic cycle.
Conventional conferences end with panels and applause. The Defence Futures Summit ends with challenge statements addressed, pilots scoped, partnerships signed, and a 90-to-180-day roadmap. Public sessions build understanding; closed sessions and the Deal Room drive commitments. Every element is designed to produce an output.
The Summit programme is organised around nine thematic tracks reflecting the priority capability areas identified through the Defence Futures Lab diagnostic. Each track runs across public sessions, closed working groups, and — where relevant — the Challenge Sprint and demo programme.
The Summit runs across two days — Day 1 places the national mandate and evidence before the Presidency; Day 2 turns that mandate into pilots, funding, institutional ownership and a 90-to-180-day implementation plan. Public sessions build understanding while closed sessions, the Deal Room, and the Challenge Sprint run in parallel to drive commitments. The schedule is indicative and subject to confirmation.

The Challenge Sprint is a live, non-classified innovation challenge running across the Summit. Screened teams prototype solutions to approved challenge statements drawn from the Defence Futures Lab diagnostic — with winners gaining priority pathway to the Deal Room and pilot consideration.
The Summit features only screened, non-classified product demonstrations — capabilities that have passed review for relevance, security alignment, and demonstration suitability. Each demo connects a concept to a potential pilot pathway.

The Summit Deal Room is a curated, non-classified environment where selected partners, innovators, investors, and institutional stakeholders convert dialogue into pilot concepts, pathway partnerships, venture-readiness engagements, and implementation commitments.
Sensitive opportunity briefs, participant lists, and meeting schedules sit behind controlled access. They are shared only with confirmed Deal Room participants following invitation and clearance.
